Description
SAIC is looking for a well-qualified MBSE Systems Engineer to join an exciting program in Springfield, VA supporting the development of new practices and approaches to achieve improved organizational performance and agility. The successful candidate will support efforts to enhance systems engineering practices across the customer's enterprise through implementation and employment of MBSE / digital engineering . The candidate will support efforts to promote improved portfolio planning; requirements development and traceability; and risk management throughout the project lifecycle and across the organization. The desired outcome is to increase organizational efficiencies and mitigate risks inherent in a complex organization with varying, and document-intensive, stakeholder acquisition and reporting practices. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Support systems engineering tasks including CONOPs generation; requirements development and traceability; and portfolio planning.
Support efforts in all aspects of implementing MBSE/digital engineering practices in the customer's organization; support implementation of pilot MBSE efforts.
Develop organizational-level plans and strategies, coordinating with component offices and other stakeholders.
Manage IPT/Working Group meetings to facilitate communication and coordination across the customer's enterprise.
Identify effective tools, models, analytical capabilities, and system architectural designs to effect improved organizational agility and performance.
Manage schedules and deliverables; track actions; brief status of efforts.
Travel (10-15%) outside assigned work area.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
Required Skills:
7 years or more of experience providing systems engineering in support of Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intel Community (IC) programs.
Experience with MBSE and Systems modeling language (SysML) design tools.
Familiarity with CAMEO Enterprise Architecture.
Diplomatic, tactful, and strong interpersonal and professional skills to work effectively in politically sensitive environments.

Advanced degree in a scientific or technical field (Physics, Engineering, Operations Research).
PMP and/or other professional certifications.
