Job Description

The Learning Experience (LX) Manager is accountable to design, develop, deliver, enhance, and maintain learning programs. Working with various stakeholder groups, you'll support the team strategy to ensure alignment with the highest business value learning opportunities to improve our learner experience and drive internal development processes.

  • Develop and executes a 1-year business plan ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategic plan and immediate manager's business plan.
  • Assess, develop, and implement learning solutions that assist the business to meet strategic initiatives and future growth.
  • Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed.
  • Drive utilization of evaluation and performance data to support data-driven learning solutions.
  • Design and implement learning experiences in support of Badger Infrastructure Solutions' commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build out development experiences with a global mindset.
  • Deliver interventions virtually, in-person, and blended through strong facilitation skills. Travel to facilitate sessions required.
  • Determine the proper blend of learning solutions to reinforce application, enhances the learning transfer, and engages learners
  • Develop first-hand experience with the appropriate subject matter.
  • Employ project management skills and tools to manage multiple projects from analysis through delivery concurrently.
  • Design and develop bar-raising learning solutions using ADDIE and AGILE methodologies.
  • Build eLearning, ILT, VILT, performance assessments, and surveys.
  • Partner with operations and program leaders to align our learning programs with expected business outcomes.
  • Optimize the use of learning technologies that help us scale.
  • Embed data collection and feedback mechanisms throughout our learning solutions to generate data-driven, actionable insights.
  • Lead efforts to drive continuous performance improvement from those insights.
  • Communicate progress and opportunities through daily huddles and weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Analyze performance data to determine performance and learning objectives that deliver expected business results.
  • Evaluate, engage, and manage third-party vendors in alignment with manager and approval matrixes.
  • Authority to approve expenditures per corporate expense policy and financial matrix
  • Represents Learning & Development function internally and externally

  • Education: B.S. in HR, Organizational Behavior, Communications, Psychology or Business, or equivalent combination of experience and education. M.S. preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience working in Learning & Development and / or HR related discipline
  • 5 years' experience designing and delivering e-learning solutions across large matrix organizations
  • 5 years' expertise in development with eLearning tools such as: iSpring, Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, etc.
  • 3 years of program and project management experience including planning work, managing requirements, and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track.
  • 3 years of training facilitation and delivery. Certifications in recognized institutions preferred (ATD, Covey, Langevin, etc.)
  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPTD, CPT, PMP, etc).
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, online learning and learning technologies.
  • Experience working with remote teams and an international audience.
  • Passionate about the learner experience, high standards, and continually inspire others to do better for the learner.
  • Experience gathering, building, interpreting, and communicating performance metrics to multiple organizational levels.
  • Technical aptitude to be able to quickly learn new technologies and develop various learning solutions.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Fully applies oneself to the requirements of the position

Badger Daylighting, and its parent company Badger Infrastructure Solutions Ltd. (TSX:BDGI), is North America's largest provider of non-destructive excavating services. We work for contractors and facility owners in a broad range of infrastructure industries, including energy generation, electricity and natural gas transmission networks, roads and highways, telecommunications, water and sewage treatment and general municipal infrastructure.

Our key technology is the Badger HydrovacTM, which is used primarily for safe excavation around critical infrastructure and in congested underground conditions. The Badger Hydrovac uses a pressurized water stream to liquefy the soil cover, which is then removed with a powerful vacuum system and deposited into a storage tank. Badger manufactures and designs our truck-mounted hydrovac units, giving us the opportunity to incorporate feedback from our hydrovac operators into existing and future design and manufacturing processes.
