Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of UNIX, Linux, Solaris, Wondows, VMware and other virtualized operating systems.
Keep IT servers/systems operating at peak performance and maintain accessibility for end-users
Create and delete all network/user/non-personal entity/Email accounts
Manage space on the network drives
Monitor system performance to determine current and potential problems
Propose system additions and enhancements to improve performance
Support major system architecture changes and server/device migration
Spport and maintain the operating systems, patches, upgrades, and Information Assurance (IA) requirements of all systems
Monitor and report on the status of the network and system devices
Ensure that systems are online and available to customers
Perform regular backups of network files and restoration of files, as necessary
Perform test restores from backup tapes weekly and document the results
