Salesforce Administrator
Job Summary:
The Salesforce Administrator is part of the Dent Wizard Information Technology team. This person assists the senior Salesforce system administrator with system administration, system training, development, change management, and system integrations. This role partners with other IT admins, development teams and non-IT cross functional teams to understand business impacts, existing system capabilities, maintenance requirements and new enhancement opportunities. All duties work in concert with the senior Salesforce system administrator to optimize system health, deliver meaningful enhancements and configure technology resources to meet or exceed the organization's mission.
The Salesforce Administrator is a key team member delivering on-site support for company-wide Salesforce systems, which are primarily cloud-based. This person will contribute to departmental duty of maintaining and improving Salesforce, the backbone of our CRM and Inventory operations. He/She is required to understand Dent Wizard's business and technical environments. This is a support position whose job is to gain an appreciation for system infrastructure, directly assist primary Salesforce Systems Administrator with end-to-end system support and project work, while minimizing the disruption to the end user and business operations.
Essential Functions:
Primary Salesforce support and second point of contact for the Salesforce platform
Helps administer security of the Salesforce platform
Ensures business system Salesforce environment is properly updated and maintained
Assists with configuration of business system, user maintenance and data cleanup
Creates, modifies, and maintains reporting and dashboards
Develops and communicates training for users regarding system usage, releases, and enhancements
Helps maintain end-user guides, release notes and all support documentation, including tracking bugs, enhancements, and features
Partners with IT admins, and cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions to business needs
Partners with developers and vendors to ensure business requirements are fully implemented, thorough testing is complete and system quality maintained
Support and help maintain functionality and enhancements for integrated systems
Provide general support to application users
Update, track and resolve project work and related Salesforce administration tasks
Job Specifications:
This position is performed in a standard office environment. This person will operate more than 50% of the time in a stationary position.
This person must be able to operate a computer, common software packages and other office machinery.
This person must be able to effectively and frequently communicate with internal and external customers' in-person as well as virtually.
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of experience with SalesForce.com Administration
Ability to understand complex business processes and organizational structure
Ability to understand Salesforce related business requirements, assess improvement opportunities, lead User Acceptance Testing, and contribute to project success.
Student of Salesforce and appreciation of Salesforce best practices
Driven to increase personal knowledge and skills
Familiar with utilizing Salesforce Sandbox for enhancements and full adherence to change management practices
Ability to display good judgement, problem solve and work ethically
Effective at communicating and working with others
Familiar with AppExchange and commonly used Salesforce Apps
Experience with systems integrations a plus
Willingness to work with third parties and vendors
Knowledge of Force.com/Apex/Visual Force
Familiarity with Salesforce Flows
Ability to work independently, self-manage workload, and meet Salesforce project deliverables
Ability to convert business requests into technical requirements
BS Degree in CS or closely related field
Salesforce.com Administrator Certification or equivalent experience desirable
