Manages and performs non-routine disassembly, preparation, overhaul, repair, reassembly, testing, or fabrication and assembly of complex electro-mechanical equipment on a jobbing basis, requiring moderate electromechanical skill and ability.
Performs removal, repair, and installation to a variety of items pertaining to rebuilding and the repair of communication shelters, trailers, and vans.
Repairs may be structural in nature to include repair and modification of doors and wall assemblies.
Performs other related duties as required.
Utilizing drawings and technical specification and manuals, lays out and installs equipment racks, brackets, holding devices, mast assemblies, HVAC systems and electrical components within shelter.
Applies knowledge gained through education and prior experience to accomplish work necessary to develop deliverable end products from written tasks to include mechanical drawings and verbal direction by the COR.
Provides design and fabrication services in support of communication shelters, trailers, vans, antenna mounts, and other custom enclosures and mechanical parts.
Services may encompass repair or modification of existing systems to include all electrical, mechanical, and structural elements.
Manages, develops work schedules and estimates for performing fabrication services, provides reporting on shop production and tasking activities, and manages and directs the work of shop personnel performing a variety of machining and fabrication support functions.
Applies knowledge gained through education and/or prior experience to accomplish work necessary to develop deliverable end products from written tasks to include mechanical drawings and verbal direction by the COR.
Manages shop equipment, supplies, raw materials, and equipment preventative maintenance schedules as to not impact shop delivery schedule of requested items.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
