At the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) is a very fast paced and dynamic environment looking for a highly-capable engineer to join the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) area.
This is a Capability Engineer position for which the selected applicant will perform the following:
- Use case development, and prepare systems engineering artifacts including definition of Epics and Features to be developed by program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer requested capabilities
- Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
- Provide use case development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department
- Reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis
Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an active Final SECRET clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Must have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice
- Must possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system
- Demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in development of use cases, sequence diagrams
- Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities
- Requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components
- Maintenance of system and component baselines in a requirement management system
- Defining the relationships between internal and external components
- Communicating system level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
Desired Skills:
- Experience with other Space Domain and Missile Defense Systems is highly desired
- Experience with Agile Methods, and Epic and Feature definition is a significant plus
- Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance is a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
