Jacobs is currently seeking a Project Accounting Specialist for our Cyber and Intelligence, Critical Mission Solutions. This position reports to the Lead Project Accountant who reports to the Project Accounting Manager under our Vice President, Controller in the Accounting organization and will be a key member of a dynamic, visible, and highly impactful team. This position will assist with setting up projects into the accounting system.
Responsibilities:
a. Project Setup - convert contract award/modification into project work breakdown structure, including funding, ceiling, POP dates, workforce/labor categories setup, billing master, revenue formula, billing formula, project labor rate tables, application of ceilings, overrides per the contract type
b. Internal Work Authorization (IWA) Setup
c. Bids and Proposal (B&P) Setup
d. Revenue at Risk- Enter approved risk
e. Work closely with Payroll to trouble shoot any timesheet processing errors
Involve in Month end/Quarter end/Year end close-Revenue adjustments- Risk and trouble shoot any issues regarding set up process
a. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of education; a minimum of 5 + years of project accounting/project setup experience in a Federal contracting environment
b. Experience with Costpoint ERP system.
c. Must be a U.S. Citizen
d. Experience with finance and government regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
e. MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum Years of Experience: Relevant experience accepted in lieu of education; a minimum of 5 + years of project setup experience in a Federal contracting environment
Preferred:
Experience working with external and internal audit teams.
Cyber intelligence/defense industry experience
