Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. As well as design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C, C++, or Lua, and Windows or Linux development.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience using C, C++, or Lua
- Experience with Windows or Linux development
- Willing to Travel - (up to 10%)
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

- Agile Software Development and Process Tools (Jira) Experience
- Configuration Management Systems (e.g. Git)
- DevOps Experience (GitLab)
- Python Programming Experience
- Experience developing software for safety critical systems
- Experience with networking and internet protocols: IP, TCP/UDP, RTP, TLS
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as CppUnit; building custom Linux distros with Yocto; Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure); Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
