SAIC is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Military Operations Analyst , Qualification/Certification Lead in support of our Navy customer. This position will support the NAVSEA Technology Office (SEA 05T) in the new Additive Manufacturing (AM) Special Project Office and will support NAVSEA 05T in an action officer type billet. This position will be remote in the Metro DC area and will be required to travel to the Navy Yard or Pentagon about twice a week for meetings.

The purpose of this Office is to:

  • Align Additive Manufacturing (AM) deliverables across Navy organizations (Systems Commands (SYSCOMs), Fleet).

  • Communicate AM efforts to OSD; communicate OSD/joint efforts back to Navy stakeholders.

  • Participate in Joint AM working groups across DOD, as appropriate, in order to provide technical input to joint efforts.

  • Align/recommend line of efforts direction, deliverables, and collaboration opportunities.

The qualified candidate will support NAVSEA 05T by providing or possessing the following:

  • Align all Navy efforts and deliverables for qualification/certification of AM processes

  • Develop roadmaps and documentation supporting Qualification/Certification requirements and focus areas for Navy AM.

  • Gather all documentation and efforts on qualification/certification efforts across the SYSCOMs, to include reports, roadmaps, and program direction to develop a cohesive Navy Roadmap for qualification/certification.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of experience; Masters and seven (7) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

  • Must be knowledgeable working working with 3-D printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications and possess advanced writing skills. Member will draft and deliver briefs and reports for senior officers and executive civilians.

  • Must be able to work in a team and individual environment on multiple projects simultaneously.

Required clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance. Higher clearances acceptable.

Desired skills:

  • Direct experience with NAVSEA/Pentagon Staff work is a plus.

Travel Requirement: 10% CONUS travel
