We are looking for a Jr. Accountant to join our Liberated team at our Costa Mesa Office! The Jr. Accountant ensures the accuracy of accounting information by recording, analyzing, and verifying transactions. The Jr. Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will work cross functionally with all members of the Accounting and Finance team. This position will also partner closely with other business partners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Oversees the accounting of the company's wholesale, retail, and outlet divisions:
Participate in the Month, Quarter and Year-end close process
Ensure proper adherence to the company's internal controls procedures
Assist in the reconciliation of e-commerce sales activity compared to credit card and other deposits
Prepare profitability analysis on e-commerce marketplaces and payment platforms
Assist in the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, including explaining & reclassifying variances
Work with A/P, A/R and Treasury personnel to ensure process control and accurate recording of financial information on a weekly and monthly basis
Assist in the preparation/review of General Ledger journal entries
Run shipping reports to prepare, calculate and communicate Sales Rep Commission liabilities
Maintain schedules for tracking capital expenditures and updating the SAGE fixed asset system
Assist in process improvements, including documenting processes and procedures and identifying and developing internal controls
Perform under deadlines and demonstrate willingness to work long hours if needed to complete projects on time.
Additional ad-hoc projects as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
A Bachelor's or equivalent degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field of study
2+ years of accounting/finance related experience preferred
Licensed Certified Public Accountant a plus
Advanced Excel skills required (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas mainly)
Advanced analytical and strong modeling skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines
A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position requires full time hours from our Costa Mesa location (Due to COVID19 this position has flexibility to work remote temporarily)
