What makes someone choose one company over anther? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all! At G2 Ops we have extremely competitive pay and benefits and that is not even the best part. Our culture is what sets us apart from other companies. Here, you will not be another payroll number or a cog in the machine. We provide great value to our customers by working as a team and ensuring every member is set up for success. Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross train in other areas they have interest in.
Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $75,000 and goes up to $110,000, based on qualifications. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!
So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not all it's cut out to be. How do you feel about Telework? Yes! Now there is a happy-medium. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule with a combination of both in-office and teleworking opportunities. As an FSO, you know that much of the FSO role requires in-person inspections and face-to-face discussion on sensitive matters, so we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. Hear us out. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the occasional opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!
Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motived, team-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) . We recently opened a G2 Ops office in Arlington and need an experienced FSO to manage all industrial security functions in that office, including people, the facility, and on-site (in conjunction with the ISSM) labs. This is a 'ground floor' opportunity that will allow you to be involved in every industrial security process from the beginning, but you won't be alone -- you will be the industrial security lead in the Arlington office but will be part of a larger team of multiple seasoned FSOs, ISSMs, and other support staff from our other G2 Ops offices throughout the nation.
Additionally, you will also serve as Office Manager in the near-term - helping administer all of the functions that go with running an office. We have a small staff in our new office but we are continually hiring new people, so the plan is that you will transition to full-time FSO as the staff in the Arlington office grows.
What does this mean to you? If you are an FSO, you're already aware of what goes into running industrial security: working with DCSA, visit requests, managing clearances, safeguarding classified information, performing self-audits, investigating security incidents, providing status reports to leadership, and overall protecting the office and organization. We also have a number of labs under DCSA's purview that will need to be certified and managed.
We're looking for a person that has experience either as the primary FSO or as an Assistant FSO. Ideally, you should be well-rounded in all things FSO, but we can help fill gaps in your knowledge if there are some areas you are less familiar with. Regarding years of experience, the number of years' experience is less important than the breadth of experience and your job knowledge; we need a person that can 'hit the ground running' rather than having a person with a certain number of years of experience.
Lastly, the ideal candidate would already possess an active DOD TOP SECRET clearance , but an active DOD SECRET to start is acceptable. Knowledge of basic IT concepts and security is important and the FSO will need to obtain/maintain a Security+ certification, but it isn't critical that you have this to apply - if you have a good skillset, we can send you to training after you're onboard to get Security+.
Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company's interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.
Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! We look forward to learning more about you!
