The American Heart Association's Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization. The employer branding and recruitment marketing internship will work with the Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing Manager, Talent Attraction team, and #TheAHALife Ambassadors to gain professional experience with a national non-profit organization while working directly to influence the employer brand and create compelling content for #TheAHALife social media channels.

Internship Overview:
Time Commitment: 20 hours per week

Responsibilities
Generate new employer branding and recruitment marketing content ideas and help monitor trends on social platforms, in collaboration with the Employer Brand and Recruiting Marketing Program Manager (EBRM, Program Manager.
Organize content and help craft an employer brand content calendar that aligns with our EVP, #TheAHALife culture, and the mission of the Association.
Create promotional materials for Talent Attraction purposes using various graphic design tools, as needed.
Work with the EBRM Program Manager to plan, craft, and execute compelling vertical video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
Monitor results of social media content data on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.
Assist in the execution of #TheAHALife Ambassador monthly calls before, during, and after.
Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and employer brands are doing on social media and present findings to the Employer Brand Recruitment Marketing Manager.
Qualifications
Currently majoring or minoring in Marketing & Communications or Branding. Or majoring or minoring in Human Resources or Human Resources related field.
Knowledge and experience with in-app editing tools on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Basic video, graphic design, and writing skills.
Experience with social media influencing, monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, Canva.
Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between 8:30am-5pm CT.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
