About the role: We are looking for an Event Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for consultation and advising on policy and procedure for all planning aspects of small meetings and events. This position will interface directly with business contacts to answer questions, direct and/or provide appropriate resources or assign additional resources if needed. The Event Advisor is responsible for working with the business contact and guiding the client to ensure a successful event. This role will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service along with building trusted relationships with business contacts. Also, to conduct oneself in a positive, professional and ethical manner.
As an Event Advisor, you will: - Be responsible for consultation and advising on policy and procedure for all planning aspects of self-serve executed meetings and events. - Health & Safety guidelines - Be a resource on how to help associates book internal meeting space / conference center space /AV basics/Speaker needs and resources available to them. - Learn nuances of the different Line of Businesses and complexities/things to be aware of - Meet or exceed customer expectations by managing at or above SLAs and by providing value added solutions and recommendations. - Back up team members as necessary. - Treat colleagues, employees, and suppliers with whom you interact with respect and dignity. - Conduct oneself in a professional and approachable manner at all times. - Must carry an appropriate workload, based on business needs. - Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.
You're good at: - Creative thinking and have the ability to identify resources in a complex organization to effectively get results and to identify other resources when needed. - Working with people to guide them and build trusted relationships - Communicating event ideas/thought starters and Best Practices - Maintaining Data
You might also have: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. - Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the meetings industry. - Minimum of three (3) years planning, and execution of meetings and events (preferably in a corporate environment). - Minimum of three (3) years' experience in client management. - Requires the ability to work and cooperate with other employees and clients at all levels and from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, information and opinions to facilitate the task at hand. - Experience in an SMM environment preferred but not required.
You should know: - This role is virtual - Our standard working hours are 8:30 AM -5:30 PM with an hour break. - Covid vaccination might be required for this role. - Travel will not be required for this role.
