SAIC Office of Security is currently seeking an AFSO to support the San Diego, CA Murray Canyon and Hancock Location Operations.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform duties as Assistant Facility Security Officer for assigned facilities/program/customers under your purview.

  • Review, abide by, and ensure compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117, DoD, Federal regulations, SAIC Security SPP, subsequent SAIC SPP's, Corporate Rules and Requirements and the local SPP.

  • Facility Clearance maintenance for cage code.

  • Interfaces and maintains cooperation with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and/or other Cognizant Security Agencies for requesting information, security inspections, violations, and abnormal events relevant to the NISP.

  • Interfaces and supports SAIC security professionals on Programs concerning Industrial Security

  • Interfaces with SMO and program management for the purpose of maintaining facility clearance and understanding required security compliance. Actively engaged with the SMO, PMs, and other Program team members regarding all aspects of security for your respective facility

  • Ensure SIMS, NISS, FSO Dashboard and DISS/NBIS are checked daily to ensure accurate information across all platforms and correct as needed to ensure compliance.

  • Processes incoming visit requests by inputting to, SIMS in accordance with established SIMS QRC and enforces visitor access requirements in compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, SAIC Security SPP and the facilities local SPP.

  • Provides direction and guidance to employees and visitors for compliance with company, U.S. Government and Foreign Government facility security requirements and interfaces with customer security representatives.

  • Performs annual self-inspections for the NISP to ensure compliance. Complies with Peer-to-Peer inspections as the inspector or inspected within established time frames.

  • Collaborate with peers, subordinates and leadership on security concerns and continued process improvement.

  • Maintains a working relationship with SAIC PERSEC office for processing and maintaining employee clearances/accesses.

  • Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with the 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM and SAIC Security SPP and Local Security SPP.

  • Ensures the establishment and maintenance of security safeguards and access controls over facility.

  • Ensure the Security Education, Training and Awareness programs regulations, standards, and compliance requirements are being met.

  • Reviews DD254s at all levels (from proposal to close-out) to identify security requirements, then assure compliance.

  • Provide proposal security support to the Business Groups for contracts.

  • Support Security requirements for on-boarding and off-boarding employees

  • Attend local and corporate security training as directed and approved.

  • Ensure timely notification with initial and follow-up actions (both verbal and written) are being accomplished in DISS/NBIS, SIMS and DCSA for all security violations and infractions.

  • Attend SAIC Security, Team Lead, SATE and Security Managers meetings as directed.

  • Continue to develop both personally and professionally with education and training.

  • Monitor and ensure correct administrative documentation for your site (e.g., 441-1, 2345, UL 2050, KMP list, change condition packages) is completed and updated before applicable expiration date or if a site change warrants update.

  • Ensures accurate and current documentation is in iCenter Facility Folder/MS TEAMS/Security Dashboard and SIMS is correct and is updated as soon as it is identified and needed.

  • Ensures high value items are reported to Manager (i.e.: spillage, insider threat reports, misplaced classified shipments, etc.) Ensure all incidents are reported appropriately in government system of record (e.g.: DISS) and proper GCA, when applicable., Ensure all needed information is added to the SIMS Incident Module, updated, and closed when completed. Ensure all reports and supporting documentation are uploaded, by you to Documentum.

  • Ensures timely follow-up on daily tasks items (Pre-screens, Foreign Travel, ES3 ticket approvals, visit requests (outside of DISS e.g., Ship Visit Authorization Letters) the action items requested by Customer, and programs both verbal and written communication

  • Oversees/Liaison for security technologies at the site. This may include surveillance systems, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other security-related technologies. They ensure that these systems are functioning properly and aligned with the site's security requirements.

  • Oversees Closed Area (if applicable): Maintain UL Cert, Containers, Inventory, End of Day check logs, Visitor Logs, and Access Control Systems and Allied Guard Services

  • Classified Information Systems (If applicable): Security Technical Implementation Guides) STIG overview- familiarize and review all Traditional Security STIGS and work with ISSM team to review for Cyber Command Reediness Inspection (CCRI) requirements (Closed area and SIPR net nodes applicable)

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, and minimum three (3) years of experience

  • 3-5 years of related security experience, four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • US Citizenship Required

  • Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance and the ability to obtain SCI, and the ability to maintain those clearances.

  • 3-5 years of AFSO experience in government and/or industrial security

  • Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) FSO certification with possessing curriculum current or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Knowledge of the design and execution of security programs in accordance with 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 117/NISPOM

  • Familiarity with DoD 5205.07

  • Proficient in understanding Intelligence Community Directives with an emphasis on ICD-705 (Physical Security)

  • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions

  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
