Regional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist
Reporting directly to the EHS Manager and working closely with regional management, training and HR departments, oversees the wellbeing of Dent Wizard employees, customers and the environment for a region. It is an essential task of this role to ensure that the processes and individuals within the organization are operating in compliance with regulations set by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. This is an entry level position that requires up to 75 percent travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Working with regional management, ensuring EHS receives appropriate levels of focus and communication to ensure organizational occupational safety and health compliance
Manage occupational safety and health programs at multiple facilities, satellite and mobile work locations.
Conduct and coordinate regular EHS site assessments, audits and inspections (both initial and follow-up) and corrective action activities.
Understand and effectively communicate overall standards of operations and best practices as it pertains to EHS compliance while ensuring operational efficiencies are maintained.
Foster relationships to secure influence with Regional Vice Presidents, Regional managers and Administrators in order drive EHS policy compliance.
Manage regional EHS reporting metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or equivalent program preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in understanding government regulation, safety and environmental compliance.
Ability to objectively and accurately evaluate data utilizing analytical skills to maximize overall EHS performance.
Ability to maintain confidential information and to communicate information regarding compliance performance or other business issues strictly on a need-to-know basis.
Must have demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism on a continuous basis (i.e. demeanor, communication, etc.).
Ability to influence others and to impart the concept of continuous (ongoing) improvement at all points on the performance continuum.
Strong organization and follow-through skills.
Must be comfortable working without direct supervision; and, a demonstrated ability to secure resources cross functionally without daily oversight.
Must demonstrate commitment to personal and organizational excellence.
Proven track record of setting and achieving goals.
Travel approximately 70-75%.
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting base salary is expected to be between $55,000 and $60,000 annually. The total compensation package may also include commission or bonus. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
