We are looking for a Quality Receiving Inspector located in our Hingham, MA facility.
Position Overview:
The Quality Receiving Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials, components, and products from suppliers to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards before they are used in the production process. This role is essential for maintaining the quality of the final product and preventing defects that could arise from faulty or substandard materials.
Role and Responsibilities:
Checks the quality and quantity of all incoming materials and components against purchase orders, packing lists, and other documentation.
Verifies Certificates of Conformity (C of C), material safety data sheets (MSDS), and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
Able to use various tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Document and respond to shipping damage issues. Identifies materials that do not meet the required standards and segregates them for return or further review. Document any discrepancies and communicate them to the relevant departments.
Work with cross-functional teams to adequately detail records in the SAP Quality Management system. Maintain accurate records of inspections, including details of accepted and rejected materials to ensure traceability and accountability.
Provide additional Quality Inspection Support with manufacturing activities, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience or state-recognized GED required.
Punctual attendance required. This job is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Central Time. Qualified candidates must be able to work during this time; ability to work overtime or weekends when needed.
2+ years of Shipping and Receiving experience.
2+ years of inspection experience.
Enthusiastic, initiative-taking and results driven associate with creative critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to details.
Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings required.
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment to check parts for compliance with engineering specifications.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English required.
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional partners.
Experience generating, tracking, and interpreting quality metrics preferred.
.Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Ability to travel 2% if off-site training or meetings.
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP experience preferred
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 would be useful.

The pay range for this position is $46k-$55K. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
