Responsibilities Serves as an Administrative Officer at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct support to the IT Executive Director by assisting in management and direction of line and staff programs and activities. Position responsibilities include: Guides and leads the collection of data to enable the CIO to make informed decisions on human resource, resource management and technical requirements in support of IT and DeCA. Evaluates presentations and integrates results into a finished senior executive level product. Provides support, oversight and coordination of IT staffing, training and travel. Reviews and supports the development of Business Needs Statements for the CIO's approval in collaboration with Human Resources and Resource Management senior leaders. Collaborates with IT leadership to develop and define metrics to measure and evaluate senior leader performance against DeCA's strategic plan. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-12 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying specialized experience: Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialist on critical IT, human resource and budget issues. Applies analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of IT program operations. Develops new methods to solve operational problems not previously encountered. Education You may not use education to qualify.
