WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Sr. Financial Analyst will partner with departments to forecast the P&L for the Volcom Americas business, while providing critical analytics to help develop and track against strategic plans. He/she will also be in constant communication with cross-functional teams to relay ongoing revenue forecast changes and their impact on product category targets.
Forecasting
Partner with Sales to develop, manage and execute a multidimensional, key account revenue and gross margin forecast.
Strategically develop the revenue and gross margin plan based on key account sell-through and category productivity analyses.
Update the rolling-18-month forecast to support the product development, production, and supply chain activities.
Forecast operating expenses using (and improving) existing models.
Analytics
Must work closely with all Sales Managers and Sales Operations team in all business operations pertaining to the management of the operating plan.
Provide regular updates on opportunity and risk to the financial forecast which includes seasonal bookings review.
Provide individual Account and retail store profitability analysis to help with the decision-making process.
Review the orderbook and ATS providing suggestions to optimize profits and inventory sell-thru
Reporting
Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, providing regular analytics into sales trends and identifying areas of opportunity and risk.
Track progress toward seasonal and monthly targets across the multidimensional business.
Partner with IT to enhance Power BI reports to support of business needs.
Complete additional planning tasks and ad hoc tasks as necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or closely related field.
Professional experience in accounting, financial planning & analysis, or related finance field.
Strong financial & analytical skills a must
Proven track record of working cross functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
Experience with BI tools (Power BI a plus).
Knowledge of accounting, financial forecasting, and budgeting principles and practices.
Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, thorough, and maintains accurate records.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and proficiency in MS Office.
Full Circle ERP experience a plus.
