Description
SAIC is looking for a FPGA engineer to work on exciting new opportunities in shipboard and aviation systems and support items for ships and aircraft in Indianapolis, IN. Hybrid Remote.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The engineer will design, develops, modifies, evaluates and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including weapons systems for aircraft and shipboard sensor processing.
The tasks will include design, realization and verification of analog and digital circuit card-level and systems-level circuitry centered on FPGAs and their interfaces.
Will develop VHDL and other RTL language code for hardware realization in FPGAs and test bench verification.
Assisting in the debug and improvement of codebases in higher lever systems will be part of the responsibilities.
Development of experimental tests on equipment and evaluates results will be lab work associated with the code development.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more related experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Proficient and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts associated with FPGA coding.
Willingness and ability to do other tasks during a program is a plus. These other proficiencies may include LabView, Test design, report authoring, and PWB design.
BSEE, FPGA experience. Teamwork. IP integration. Familiarity with Vivado and Labero design tools.
CLEARANCE:
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
