Release Management Specialist (Software Distribution -Service Coordinator)

CACI is seeking a motivated candidate to join our Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) team at Norfolk Va. The candidate selected for this position will join the (CM) Release Management Team.

The candidate assigned to this position will work closely with the release manager with a focus on the tasks and activities related to the production of physical media for delivery of updates and new releases to the Fleet. We are in search of a candidate who can thoroughly review work products such as the release letter which describes the items to be delivered and identify the software configuration items that are to be included in the physical or ISO media. The selected candidate will also interact with members of the development team to ensure that the media created accurately reflects the scope of the release.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Assemble software packages IAW the release letter ensuring the proper identification, end user documents and licensing information match authorized customer's requirements.

  • Devise and execute plans that describe when release letters, associated configuration items such as the load manual, guides, and media must be available to meet software delivery methods without duplicating efforts of software image delivery (ISO) and hard media delivery (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray) distribution.

  • Create media or images from the master source using duplication towers, and labeling media using a bulk label printer, or ensuring an ISO image is correctly created from the source master and posted to the NAVWAR repository for end user download.

  • Retrieve customer data from an electronic records management system, update data when required, ensuring that the customer receives the correct version of software they are entitled to receive.

  • Actively pursue the capture and management of Software Licensing information for each customer to ensure that the information is up to date and meets regulatory requirements.

  • Respond to an authorized customer's request for replacement media via approved request methods.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance.

  • 8 years' relevant experience

  • Knowledge of various formats used to deliver software.

  • Knowledge of DON Record Management (SECNAV M-5210.1), Regulations, Policies, and Guidance.

  • Knowledge of Navy department letter format or at minimum standard business letter format

  • Knowledge of addressing formats to include FPO and APO

  • Demonstrated Organizational Skills

  • Demonstrated familiarity with NTCSS or similar DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration system for aviation, afloat or shore activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet processing programs such as MS Excel or Google Sheets

  • Demonstrated ability to be thorough in the completion of assigned work.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$56,000-$117,500
