GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr. Analyst - Finance leads the analytics and conducts regular business analysis for the Ecommerce North America team. The Sr. Analyst - Finance will be responsible to ensure accurate and timely reporting to corporate leaders, supporting data-driven decision-making for the Functional leaders. Provides expertise and decision-making support including, but not limited to, developing/maintaining standard models to support financial plans and forecasts, coordinating with marketing partners to incorporate business inputs, evaluating actuals/variances, performing financial analyses, and supporting reporting requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with cross-functional management to analyze and understand relevant data features and KPIs. Gather and document report requirements and use reporting tools, applications, and/or queries to create and configure new reports and dashboards.
Create and publish dashboards and scorecards related to team KPIs and Business Results.
Develops forecast for line items, prepares/maintains supporting documentation, and tracks key assumptions, contingencies, etc.
Financial partner with brand/shared leaders to capture key inputs for the planning process, identifying risks/opportunities for consideration
Identifies opportunities to improve the accuracy and timeliness of forecasting processes
Support the preparation of monthly close results and reporting
Complete complex ad-hoc research and variance analysis
Utilize data to drive actionable insights that enhance sales productivity and other business decisions
Gathers data from relevant sources within the optical industry, including market data, historical performance and company financials to draw conclusions from the data and summarize this information
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in finance/accounting/economics/international business
3+ years of business analytics experience, preferably in a retail environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales and KPIs
Strong communication skills with proven ability to present to and interface with senior leaders
Highly organized self-starter that can work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining impeccable attention to detail;
Systems - advanced excel skills, experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Hyperion Essbase
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years in the E-commerce channel
