Description of Duties:
The IT Service Contract Specialist supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Manage and ensure a mix of both Information Technology (IT) software license, hardware maintenance contracts and technical information related to vendor labor subcontracts are identified, consolidated, budgeted, and procured to support end users and enterprise software.
- Coordinate with technical POCs, and other stakeholders to ensure continual service by avoiding lapses in software licenses, hardware support compliance and/or contract labor.
- Serve as the liaison with vendor companies to maintain a strong relationship and plan and schedule renewal contract business review meetings with vendors and various stakeholders as required.
- Work closely with Procurement department for correct and accurate quotes and communication with vendors in negotiations.
- Input procurement requests and provide all necessary supporting documentation.
- Seek out opportunities to minimize organizational costs through contract standardization, consolidation and co-terming.
- Create reports on historical, ongoing, and forecasted renewals.
- Report progress, issues, and concerns on all assigned duties.
- Make recommendations to management to improve efficiency, consistency, and transparency.
Work as backup to ITSD Material Manager who performs the following tasks:
- Track and document procurement actions against budget and schedule, applying contract performance criteria to determine effectiveness and efficiency.
- Approve purchase requests and invoices, assessing each action against established cost limits and performance thresholds.

Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Software License Management or procurement
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of business and procurement processes
- Communicate clearly both verbally and over e-mail
- Think analytically and solve problem
- Work under pressure, handle stress and have the ability to adapt to change
- Understand basic IT requirements
- Use Microsoft Office with proficiency prophecies
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
This position is expected to pay $75,000 - $100,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
