We have an exciting opportunity for an Avionic Network Systems Lead to join our team with teammate company, McLaurin Aerospace.
Responsibilities:
The Network Systems Lead supports the Gateway Command and Data Handling (C&DH) System, a critical sub-system of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon
Support Ethernet protocols and internet protocols for Quality of Service, network end systems, wired network switches, and wireless design
Support cybersecurity efforts including the application of NIST 800-53
Support sub-project requirements and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering
Support product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities
Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications
Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements
Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews
Work and present schedule and progress to customers
Perform other duties as required
Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or a related area
Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems-based life cycle engineering
Ability to troubleshoot and debug/review/document complex systems.
Must have knowledge and understanding of ethernet network architecture, physical and data interfaces
Must be familiar with spacecraft communication/telemetry protocols and standards
Must have knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies
Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Must have good capacity to document processes, procedures, and findings clearly and comprehensively

Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, critical thinking process
Requisition Preferences:
Strong Background in Ethernet / Time Sensitive / Critical Networking Systems Physical Layers / Protocols.
Should have knowledge of IEEE 802.1, IEEE 802.3, ARINC 664-P7, and AS 6802
Should have Network Certification (CCNP, CCAr, CompTia Network)
Should have engineering-level experience in the systems engineering in aerospace.
Understanding of spacecraft systems and subsystems, including power, propulsion, guidance, navigation, and control.
Knowledge of space environment challenges and their implications for command and data handling.
Should have experience with the process and product assurance documentation or prior working experience in aerospace or space vehicle avionics.
Should be familiar with Data Analysis, Data Recording, and Network Simulation Tools
Should be familiar with System Fault Models / FEMA / Hazard Analysis
Should have knowledge of Process / Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, Process or equal structured engineer process level standards Example DO-178 / DO-254
Should have experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Linux Bash Scripting)
Should have familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
