The Retail Operations Manager will leadthe channel strategy deployment for sales execution, including the creation of channel specific internal and external resources/assets.They ensure that the sales execution representatives are in support of channel and brand priorities, flooring transition execution, training initiatives, and other special projects. This is a cross-functional leadership role requiring excellent planning, strategy deployment, collaboration, and communication with key trade customer contacts as well as the sales and sales execution teams.This role requires the ability to create visual presentations and requires excellent communication skills to present regularly to medium to large groups.They will partner closely with the Internal Operations and Client teams on communication needs, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) needs, reporting needs, KPIs, compliance and strategy.
Responsibilities:
Channel Strategy Deployment (to the Field)
Partner with the Channel Teams to identify key initiatives for the Sales Execution team
Create monthly sales execution priorities, gameplans, leave behinds and present to the sales execution team to align to channel and brand priorities
Communicate flooring and new model launch plans to the sales execution team for execution with follow up to ensure completion
Support development of the channel agenda and create key materials for the sales execution monthly calls, monthly channel champion calls and town hall for the annual Forward sales conference
Regular maintenance of field facing channel resources (execution guides, who to contact, channel store systems, Sales Execution Microsite, etc.)
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for trade customer policies and procedures for in-store merchandising, floor execution, signage, and training policies and procedures. Train Whirlpool sales teams
Real Whirled / Mosaic New Hire facilitation of Channel 101s and In-Store Execution trainings
Coach and mentor sales execution representatives
Up to 25% Domestic Travel
Performance & Insights Reporting
Identify and execute all channel reporting needs.
Utilize Sales Ex reporting and dashboards to provide insights/intel on in store activities for both internal and external channel partners
Perform market analysis and make tactical recommendations to the sales and leadership teams to target opportunities, training needs, and competitive issues (analyze field dashboards, field comments, flooring, trends, survey data)
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree
2 years Analytics, Sales Execution and Floor merchandising
Preferred skills and experiences
Communication skills - able to manage and communicate effectively and confidently upwards, downwards and across functional boundaries
Creative visual presentation skills
Presentation skills in front of medium to large groups
Experience leading and participating in cross-functional teams
Relationship building and team building skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Lead with a CI Mindset
Strong skill set in utilizing Google Products (Slides, Docs, Sheets)
