JMT is seeking a Project Manager to join their Highways Group in Round Rock or San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of complex projects and assists Office Leader and Section Heads with business development, financial management of projects, and management of staff at the local level.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist with strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
Assist with growth of market presence in area through marketing and business development
Active participation in professional organizations
Review project pricing and budgets
Manage subconsultants
Lead client presentations
Manage financial budget for projects and allocate resources accordingly
Lead the production of proposals
Lead team preparation for project interviews
Serve as a technical expertise resource to project engineers and technical staff
Identify resources for staffing needs
Assist with interviews and hiring of staff for the Highway Group
Conduct performance reviews for staff based on input from project engineers on assigned teams

Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
Professional Engineer License or equivalent
12+ years' experience in highway planning and design
Project management and business development experience
Preferred Experience
Supervisory experience
Experience working with federal, state, and local governmental agencies
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
