MATERIAL PLANNER (STARLINK)
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a material movement system for the Starlink program with the ultimate goal of creating a production assembly model. This individual will serve as a liaison between engineering, fabrication, supply chain and material handling organizations to ensure that components and assemblies flow smoothly through the production and assembly process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with supply chain to maintain production schedules through assessing production demand and driving to mitigate material shortages
Work with inventory and material handling to execute inventory requests and procure parts for production
Iterate on instruction steps and material kitting strategy to drive towards optimum assembly order and reduce the probability of technician error
Interface with production supervisors to schedule builds and make adjustments based on material and resource availability
Maintain floor stock and work to adjust supply to reflect production needs
Support operation sequencing and implementation of part demand to streamline assembly and improve production timeline
Interface with engineers and technicians on the release of work orders for build and ensure that part demand is accurate and reflected accurately in inventory
Assist engineering and fabrication teams in incorporating redlines/edits to existing work instructions
Work with production customers for priority and schedule requirements
Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon request
Actively support productivity improvement efforts and work to streamline processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in STEM discipline, OR 2+ years of experience working in a construction/manufacturing setting
1+ years of professional experience with manufacturing processes, including mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
1+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Experience in manufacturing planning or technical writing
Experience with 2D and 3D graphics and both raster-and-vector based image-editing software
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changes in project direction
Experience with HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript

Position requires ability to work extended hours and weekends a
