JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing resources directly or indirectly, developing and implementing an operational/financial plan or imitative plans and ensuring that department's procedures are carried out in guidance with legal and regulatory procedures/policies while mitigating risk. Evaluates organizational efficiency and makes necessary changes to maximize departments efficiency and effectiveness including tracking financial statistics to ensure department's overall effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with Card Payments teammates and Senior Manager to understand, implement and support key strategic initiatives and solve operational issues.

  2. Engage team to develop a culture of continuously identifying, prioritizing, planning and implementing process improvement of operations across products through ongoing communication and best-practice sharing.

  3. Work with management to establish, track and report key process indicators, performance metrics other measurable goals that ensure team success. Track and maintain expenses in compliance with budget goals. Prepare and maintain departmental reports, logs and documents in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, in accordance with established retention schedules and corporate and departmental guidelines.

  4. Oversee internal and external partner relationships in support of products, services and systems

  5. Manage and drive employee engagement activities. Maintain positive working relationships between peers, managers and internal partners.

  6. Plan and oversee strategic initiatives, operational plans, and/or projects, significant to the success of the organization within operations. Lead coordination, planning, scheduling and execution of activities within assigned team. Create and deliver training to team or individuals Train, mentor, and coach team members on appropriate productivity, processes and procedures. Demonstrates continuous initiative and provide recommendations for improving processes including reinforce policy and procedure compliance.

  7. Mitigate risk exposure and protect client confidentiality. Monitor and enforce use of internal policies and procedures, report deviation or risks. Ensure teammate and departmental compliance with Truist Information Security standards.

  8. Monitor production and personnel statistics and reporting in support of department operation.

  9. Establish and implement short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures, monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement

  10. Lead and develop staff to ensure goals, deadlines, and objectives are met. Make recommendations for assigned personnel regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, disciplinary actions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines. Participates in the Recruiting and Selection process as appropriate. Conduct performance reviews and implements corrective action as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Ability to work in an area governed by production standards and under pressure to meet critical deadlines

  2. Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business Analysis, Business Administration or Business Management, Finance or equivalent

  3. 7 to 10 years of demonstrated performance in leading operations and guiding teams or projects in pursuit of corporate goals, or equivalent experience in financial services industry

  4. Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex business situations

  5. Effective time management skills to prioritize and manage department's ability to meet deadlines

  6. Strong analytical, strategic planning and logistics skills

  7. Hyper focus on performance tracking and improvement

  8. Strong attention to detail and methodical in execution

  9. Proven experience with management within an operations environment management new process and systems implementation

  10. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to adjust communication style to different audiences and levels of management

  11. Collaborative, team oriented, and mission-driven

  12. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while multi-tasking and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  13. Successful at managing, coaching and mentoring teams.

  14. Strong process improvement skills (ability to develop and implement processes)

  15. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

  16. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree with a concentration in Business Analysis, Business Administration or Business Management, Finance or equivalent

  2. Operations experience in start-up environment

  3. Six Sigma training
