Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Traveling Marine Shipfitters for projects located in and around Paducah, KY. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $20-22/hour based on experience & skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Repair work on river barges & towboats
Work with stainless & carbon
Some new construction work
Wash off welds, hold plates or framing together with cutting torch
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
5+ Years of Shipfitting Experience
Ability to read/interpret Blueprints
Ability to lay out damaged areas on vessel & cut out steel on boat without damaging adjacent plates
Shipfitter Test
Proper PPE
Hand Tools
