THE ROLE
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the small but mighty Corporate HR Team. The Sr. Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day activities to help support one or more business leaders and multiple client groups across Corporate and Artist Nation businesses. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Corporate Human Resources.
The selected candidate will provide day to day support to employees and managers and deliver quality HR programs, processes, and services. Success in this role will require influential partnership with middle and senior management within the organization to execute the HR strategies that foster organizational and people effectiveness. The individual in this role must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that supports the business goal attainment.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:
Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization
Serve as a contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies, resources, and procedures.
Partner with managers to prepare and process employment changes for staff related to events such as hiring, onboarding, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
Work in partnership with Business leaders on addressing employee relations issues and employee concerns. Assist in development and implementation of performance improvement plans as necessary, conflict resolution, up to and including terminations as appropriate.
Partner closely with the HR team to refine internal processes and ensure consistent implementation of processes and programs.
Collaborate with HR leaders to plan for, deploy, and ensure compliance with cyclical employee programs (performance management, promotions, salary review cycles, talent reviews, training, etc.).
Act as a resource to employees and recruiting team throughout the employee lifecycle from on-boarding to off-boarding.
Lead employee investigations, documentation and provide recommendation for solution as necessary to resolve according to law, company policy and precedent, and escalate to Sr. HR Director when appropriate.
Provide guidance on the creation of job descriptions, job analysis and market compensation requests.
Being the daily Workday expert, carefully reviewing and process/approve entries, produce reporting data around new hires, internal mobility, turnover, and retention.
Conduct employee exit interviews and off-boarding procedures. Analyze data, assess, and report on trends.
Assist in the administration of FMLA and other LOA's. Answer routine benefit questions and refer employees to appropriate resources. Workers Compensation claims processing and tracking and ACA Compliance.
Proactively communicate helpful resources to management and staff.
Serve as an administrative resource for the HR team (as we all do).
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate and provide a wide range of experience, skills, and capabilities, including but not limited to:
Requires a minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience
Workday experience highly prized
BS/BA with emphasis in HR preferred
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification desired
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, somewhat unstructured, service-oriented environment
Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, be resourceful, proactive, along with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly dynamic environment
Demonstrates a collaborative and helpful attitude and customer-service orientation; shows team spirit
Must possess good analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to modify and adjust individual approach and delivery to fit specific situations
Working with both a large, diverse, and remote workforce is preferred
Able to handle a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
Intermediate knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations
Ability to be agile, adapt and navigate change
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) required
Strong verbal and written communication, professionalism, and consulting skills
