Located on-site at the Batteries Plus Distribution Center in Glendale, WI, the Warehouse Quality Technician is an essential member of our warehouse teams. As theWarehouse Quality Technician , you will perform a variety of tasks to meet quality and productivity standards to ensure that product is handled and shipped to our customers in a timely manner. You will also perform audits at various stages of the warehouse process to identify and correct user and system errors. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 months to 1 year of warehouse distribution experience and have thorough knowledge and understanding of distribution center operations. Openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift:
1st Shift - Monday-Friday 6a-2p
2nd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 2p-10p
3rd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 10p-6a
Responsibilities:
Perform audits at various stages of the warehouse process to identify and correct user and system errors
Use electronic scanning device to audit inventory as well as track movement of product within the warehouse
Scan and verify accuracy of packages being loaded with order documents to ensure proper item, quantity and destination
Document and report errors
Read and understand standard operating procedure documents to ensure proper Inbound and Outbound warehouse processes
Understand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spoilage of products
Provide instant feedback to the users to help improve the overall quality standards of the department
Use warehouse management software to assist with locating orders and products within the warehouse
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 months warehouse experience
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork
Using company email consistently
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift certification preferred
