THE ROLE
The Senior Security Engineer will conduct network and infrastructure penetration tests to proactively detect potential security vulnerabilities in the Live Nation environment. This person will partner with leadership and technical teams to determine rules of engagement per project, follow a structured framework and methodology for testing, be able to perform risk analysis on identified vulnerabilities, deliver professional reporting, and provide technical solutions and remediation guidance that will help mitigate risks for any security issues identified. This person will also be responsible for proactively researching and communicating emerging security threats as a key component of the role.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Perform infrastructure and network security assessments and penetration tests as needed.
Proactively research and communicate emerging security threats
Participate in the Information Security vulnerability management process as needed from defect identification to reporting to remediation.
Identify ways to improve and scale penetration testing efforts through automation
Work with other team members on any initiatives as appropriate.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Minimum 3 years hands-on security penetration testing experience.
Ability to clearly explain issues and deliver professional reporting for all levels, from high level executive summaries to detailed exploit steps that technical teams can understand.
Self-driven to stay up to date and be an active participant in the overall cyber security industry
Competency in common operating systems (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux)
An understanding of cloud computing models, technologies and concepts
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and packet analysis
Proficiency with scripting languages to help automate tasks (e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell)
Proficiency with security testing/scanning tools such as Qualys, Metasploit, or the equivalent.
Knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards and requirements
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and interpersonal characteristics
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ethical character with ability to keep information confidential
Passionate about cyber security, a desire to protect and help people; positive attitude and enjoys constantly learning
Willingness to respond to emergency situations off-hours
