CACI-SOAS is looking for an experienced Uncrewed Systems (sUAS Pilot/Trainer) Specialist to join the DTRA DA team to support DTRA's Contingency Operations (CO) Department by providing direct tactical and operational support to their mission to Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) by operating mission focused and sensor arrayed Uncrewed Systems. As required, you must be prepared to support the DTRA client to provide tactical and operational uncrewed systems' support to their global C-WMD mission with dedicated support to each of the Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) that includes CONUS and OCONUS travel.
As an Uncrewed Systems (sUAS Pilot/Trainer) Specialist, you will work along US Department of Defense (DoD) forces and other government agencies to provide mission focused support to detect and identify chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. This includes being able to work as an individual or a member of a small team across all aspects of air, ground and maritime environments while effectively operating uncrewed systems enabled with WMD sensors. It is critical to develop and foster a culture of innovation and creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technically and procedurally. It is crucial that you must be able to be adaptable and work constructively with a tactically and technically diverse team.
More About the Role:
You will work as part of a multifunctional team of subject matter experts to assist DoD customers with detecting WMDs through the deployment of uncrewed systems and WMD detection sensors. You must be prepared to conduct routine training, testing and evaluation of uncrewed systems and sensors across diverse operational environments. This includes supporting both CONUS and OCONUS TDYs and deployments that potentially include austere combat environments and assist to generate recommended solutions based upon experience working with diverse elements of the DoD. You will work closely with members of CO team to identify capabilities and vulnerabilities of organic uncrewed systems through employment of military tests and evaluations across various operational environments.
Responsibilities:
Frequent travel to both CONUS and OCONUS sites.
Operate uncrewed systems for test and evaluation across various operational environments.
Troubleshoot and fine-tune uncrewed systems in the field.
Plan and analyze test results.
Operate, maintain, and train use of uncrewed systems (i.e., assembly, power on, storing, packaging).
Research and integration of new components supporting uncrewed systems.
Create and maintain uncrewed system architecture.
Organize information to summarize test plans and provide test results.
Perform administrative duties such as standardization and training, logs, and records, preparing and reviewing periodic reports.
Ability and willingness to assist with tasks outside of job description.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and/or operating uncrewed systems (Air, Ground, Maritime) ISO DoD/Armed Forces or other government agencies.
Ability to work independently and as part of small teams.
Ability to travel frequently to support field testing and training, including OCONUS travel.
Consult with the client to define need or problem and conducts studies and surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
Track record of complex problem-solving aptitude.
Ability to think analytically and independently.
Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in written form.
Willingness to learn new skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with Uncrewed System and Sensor integration & testing.
Experience with Special Forces/Special Operations Forces/EOD.
Experience providing mission support for ground forces (e.g. JTAC).
Expertise with counter-CBRN/C-WMD techniques, tactics and practices (TTPs) and equipment.
Joint military experience.
Senior/staff NCO or CWO.
Experience instructing/interacting with military audiences.
Experience with military test and evaluation.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification or equivalent.
Experience with FLIR SkyRaider R80-series sUAS strongly desired.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,400 - $198,300
