Description: Lockheed Martin Space in Herndon, VA, is seeking a full-time, Entry Level, Systems Engineer (IT), Programmer for a nearby mission operations site to support full-spectrum hardware infrastructure development/support, as well as mission software support. In this role, you will work with IT Hardware Architecture engineers and Software Integration engineers on an agile Systems Engineering team. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software development basics in one or more of (C#, C, or C++, PowerShell, Unix/Linux Shell scripts, etc), as well as experience in, or a passion of, hardware infrastructure such as networks, firewalls, switches, windows and Linux servers.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Computer Science /
Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber
Security or related discipline or technical
training, or related work experience.
Completed coursework towards a related
degree may be considered.

Desired Skills:
- Preferred candidates will have an Associate

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
