We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for an individual to identify, plan, and execute a strategic sourcing strategy with a primary focus on the following categories: IT/Telecom software, hardware and cloud services. This individual will focus on the following suppliers within the category defined above: Microsoft, SAP/Ariba/Success Factors, Oracle, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMWare, Carbon Black, Okta and Splunk. This individual will work with Supply Chain Management, IT business unit leadership, finance, and supply chain sourcing specialists, to develop the sourcing strategy for the categories noted above to include: developing an understanding of the IT business and financial drivers; developing understanding of supplier complex pricing models; work with internal and external resources to develop strategies regarding continuous price escalations, external license and usage audits, impacts of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and disruption in supply.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for determining long term needs through category/commodity management, spend data analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. This individual will lead cross functional teams to plan, develop, identify/evaluate suppliers, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate agreements, and execute strategic value contract agreements. This individual will also establish and execute supplier performance management programs for strategic suppliers identified above. Although this role will not have direct reports, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and collaborating with peers in the sourcing organization. This individual will need to have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate across the Dominion Energy enterprise including individual contributors through senior officer leadership. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic change agents for this role.

This individual's role will include but is not limited to:

- Setting meaningful category spend targets and deliver results by implementing procurement strategies based on TCO analysis and innovation

- Perform category management, also known as commodity management of assigned areas

- Develop, build and present strategic plans and roadmaps for assigned spend categories

- Proactively engage and collaborate with Business Unit customers on strategic sourcing goals, category strategies, initiatives, and savings targets

- Lead the formulation of sourcing strategies and negotiation of key terms for highly complex sourcing events

- Leading highly complex sourcing events and negotiations

- Lead cross-functional IT initiatives

- Effectively communicate initiative updates and savings targets across the organization

- Analyze relevant markets and assess cost impacts of market events for assigned spend categories

- Maintain supplier lists for assigned spend categories and build partnerships with strategic suppliers

- Build and Maintain relationship with business and supply chain senior executives

- Travel as needed to meet with Business Unit customers and suppliers

- Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

7+ years of procurement and/or strategic sourcing (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of experience of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.)

3+ years of procurement experience in category assignments detailed above.

Other required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

- Strong understanding of business cost drivers

- Ability to work effectively with groups at different company locations with limited in person interaction is required

- Hands-on understanding of business processes and objectives

- Developing knowledge of assigned categories

- Excellent project management skills with ability to resolve problems and remove barriers to success and keep projects moving forward on schedule and on budget

- Ability to navigate organization and influence decisions

- Demonstrated ability to develop a structured negotiation strategy and implement the strategy

- Strong analytic toolset that will support the creation of financial targets, detailed analysis of spend data, and structure of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models

- Strong mentoring skills

- Demonstrated ability to work independently

- Preferred system experience: SAP; Ariba; Power BI, Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor's

MBA or post graduate work is a plus.
