Mid-level communications professional role that supports communications for critical business/support functions at Truist, including finance, corporate responsibility and sustainability, CRA, and Truist's charitable foundations. Strong writing experience and critical thinking in support of communications strategy, tactics, and plan execution. Develops and executes various communications, including but not limited to key messages, talking points, presentations and stories, provides media relations support for key storytelling opportunities, and authors communication for senior leaders at Truist. Collaborates regularly with others in Communications, Marketing/Social Media, and Functions or Business Segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

key support areas across Truist, including financial / earnings communications, investor relations, corporate responsibility and sustainability, CRA, and Truist's charitable foundations.
Develop proactive public relations to obtain positive media mentions on Truist initiatives, performance and purpose; leadership message development; spokesperson training; issues management; and internal communications at the segment level.
Serve as a primary point of contact for line of business and function leaders.
Provide communications counsel to lines of business on company initiatives, performance messaging/quarterly earnings, internal and external philanthropic communications, and certain client-facing messages.
Collaborate with the social media team on messages and issues.
Deliver internal and external communications through various channels and news media.
Plan content/messaging and graphics/videos for town halls, conferences, speaking engagements and events.
Create positive news to build the company's brand, advance our purpose, and demonstrate our care for all stakeholders.
Forge relationships with business leaders to gain knowledge, align communications objectives and goals with the business, and serve as a trusted consultative partner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training
5-7 years of related experience
Demonstrated corporate communications internal and external message development and project management
Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in using communications technology, video production and mass communications techniques
Ability to negotiate within a team and influence others as peers
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or English
Experience in Financial Services industry, or agency experience
