TheSupply Chain Specialistwill gather data to develop insights used for the optimization of the Batteries Plus supply chain operations. TheSupply Chain Specialistwill identify underperforming areas in the supply chain by compiling costs, capacity, and demand patterns. Continuously reviews the movement of materials and other supply chain processes to identify sources of problems. Prepares reports or dashboards to provide reliable activity data to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Planning & Management
Support the balancing of production, distribution and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with on-time fulfillment goals. Partner and review data summaries with the Warehouse, Category Management, Sourcing, Planning, Finance and other stakeholders
Conduct weekly inventory reviews and reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies with the warehouse inventory team.
Create and review inventory reports as needed, give recommendations on improvements.
Review and post all inventory transfers and adjustments daily.
Communicate potential issues and concerns to management.
Demand Planning & Transportation
Process all over, short and damage claims for inbound shipments.
Build shipments from vendor packing lists for the warehouse team to receive products.
Provide inbound routing for domestic purchase orders as well as outbound routing on truckload shipments and those with special requirements.
Track and report on status of inbound shipments, following up with carriers as needed.
Create purchasing reports as needed. Give recommendations on improvements to the Demand Planning Team.
Metrics
Ensure adherence to all security and operational procedures.
Measure daily, weekly, monthly production and accuracy metrics; maintain daily reports. Communicate potential issues and concerns to management in a timely manner.
Help test process improvements and review with warehouse, order management, IT, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum Associate's degree with emphasis in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Bachelor's preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Logistics, Shipping/Receiving, or Distribution Center Operations.
Familiarity with a variety of Supply Chain, warehousing, logistics concepts, practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WMS and ERP technology.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork.
Ability to work under general supervision, make minor decisions and use some judgment within standardized procedures.
Ability to calculate simple math, percentages and ratios.
Good oral and written communication skills.
