CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Senior Unified Collaboration (SME) to support VoIP/VTC modernization for EUROCOM under the ARMY Voice Modernization Europe program run by GENM-O (Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS) out of Wiesbaden, Germany.

This position is based out of the US, it will require multiple trips to Germany and other European countries under TDY status to perform survey, planning, design, implementation, testing, and turnover activities. This position shall have the following experience and must be able to perform the following actions:

In this role you will:

  • Survey existing infrastructure to gather requirements and deficiencies of the current VoIP/VTC architecture based on customer requirements and utilizing the current DOD best practice guidance.

  • Survey the existing Telephony Management System (TMS) and provide solution based on customers' requirements.

  • Plan, Design, Engineer, Implement, and Integrate existing, new, and future VoIP/VTC to include secured VoIP/VTC connections and High Availability (HA) technology utilizing the current DOD best practice implementation guide to include, but not limited to, Session Border Controller (SBC), E1/T1 circuits, Cisco Call Manager (CUCMs), Voice Gateways (VGs), Analog Voice Gateway (AVG), audio and video conference systems, cloud-based VoIP architectures, emergency responder, Enterprise Management System (EMS), alarm monitoring system, Voice mail, Quality of Service (QoS), end user devices, ETC.

  • Survey the existing Telephony Management System (TMS) and provide solution based on customers' requirements.

  • Survey and engineer solutions for existing Telecommunication Rooms (TR) housing VoIP/VTC devices in compliance with DOD regulations to include but not limited to power, grounding, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), Inside Plan (ISP), Outside Plant (OSP).

  • Ability to read and comprehend DOD technical documentations and apply that knowledge to engineering design solutions.

  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced environment to meet deadline requirement from customers.

  • Provide support for Projects and/or Program Managers as technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) advisor during meetings as required.

  • Provide training to junior engineers or customer staffs.

  • Have experience in networking and VMware technologies to support VoIP/VTC engineering design solutions.

You will also be required to:

  • This position is responsible for providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

  • Design and plan network systems and establish networking environments by designing system configuration.

  • Direct system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

  • Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)

  • Conduct testing of network systems. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.

  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

  • Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.

  • Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

  • Evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Travel to other Locations or Customer Sites as necessary

  • Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Management or other related discipline and 10-15 years of related experience or a combination of skills, education, and experience

  • Relevant UC/Voice experience in managing network modernization initiatives, or system projects of similar scope and complexity.

  • Work with Government agencies gathering details regarding legacy voice circuits being required to migrate to VoIP solutions

  • CCNP Collaboration certification

  • Security Plus Certificate of training

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

  • ITIL Foundation within 60 days from start date

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
