This position is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations of the Population Finance and Analytics data team staff and functions including prioritization of the department and organizational initiatives and assigning the requests to staff. Strategically aligns, integrates, supervises, and maintains the Population Finance and Analytics health plan data files received and data sent to and returned from external vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for developing and implementing data validation strategy and governance program for the Population Health data. - Responsible for organization and enhancing the value of data and information assets through collaboration, transformation and repurposing operational data into a form for analytical use. This includes evaluation of the data and planning and implementation of any gaps, evaluating other data existing in other platforms or sources. - Ability to understand healthcare operations, the needs of business and clinical staff, and is able to research, recommend and implement solutions/systems appropriate to the department and organizations strategic goals. - Be the global expert for relevant applications/projects and for the use of those data within the context of operational workflows and support of various indirect departments. - Responsible for the direction of analytic needs, analytic tools, and training of staff to meet initiatives. Develop and maintain an organization of high performing people through effective hiring, coaching and performance/talent management processes. - Influence and implement the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports for Population Health Finance and Analytics. This includes being a consultant to team members on standardized reporting and visualization. - Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable. - This role is also responsible for the development of department procedures and processes to ensure delivery of a reliable product to the team. - Responsible for gathering information from multiple data sources into one data submission for the purposes of sending data to vendor(s) and ingesting the data to have it ready and available for use in other analysis and visualization, - Responsible for working with stakeholders to understand analytics needs and translate those needs into analytics solutions. This requires collaboration with other members outside of the Population Health Team to understand workflows, identify the right data elements and design specifications and the build of reporting utilizing a variety of business intelligence tools. - Evaluation of new technologies and techniques within the scope of their supported toolsets. Work Experience: - 5 years of direct experience in applications management, development, or systems management with evidence of increasing responsibility. - Extensive experience with a variety of analytical toolsets, database platforms, relational database structures, data governance and ETL processes. - Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development and implementation of data governance, validation and visualization. - Over 5 years progressively responsible experience which includes leadership/supervision and in-depth experience with data management, report development and data analysis. Incorporates visualizations, statistical analysis, and data science techniques into dashboards, advanced analytics, and complex delivery models. - Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI, EPIC Cogito Suite, Caboodle.
