Planner will use Dal Tile's CMMS (SAP) to plan and schedule work from work orders, (including corrective, preventative, condition based, and predictive) and all other work, except breakdowns or emergency work.

Planner works with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, Molding Line Manager, and Polishing Line Manager to ensure all work can be scheduled without a conflict with production running schedules.

Planner will oversee the plant CMMS system for accuracy and correct usage, Planner will act as a trainer for new personnel, and Planner will retrain personnel as needed.

The Planner will work with maintenance personnel and the maintenance coordinator to ensure that work order history (particularly preventative maintenance work) is captured and input into the system.

Planner will maintain a plant backlog of work orders and will maintain a 2-week published schedule from the backlog. Adjusting and rescheduling will be maintained as needed changes arise and production priorities change.

Planner will maintain a plant PM schedule for a rolling year. Adjusting and rescheduling as changes arise and priorities change.

Planner will hold weekly meetings to review previous weeks work and prioritize upcoming work.

The Planner will work with the Maintenance Manager to conduct post-conduct reviews of preventative maintenance (PM) work orders to confirm the PM value, frequency, and scope. Where applicable, PM work orders will be combined, eliminated, or updated to meet plant and department metrics.

Planner will prepare a weekly schedule for the Maintenance Manager and adjust the schedule daily if needed.

Planner will provide the maintenance shift lead a complete job package for all scheduled jobs. Package will contain: All job instructions, BOM, permissions, permits, manpower estimates, contractor labor.

Planner serves as the primary back-up to the Maintenance Manager and another technical expert to support shift maintenance personnel on probable failure causes and repair procedures.

Planner will provide reports from CMMS to management as requested.

Planner will development and implement safe work practices, as well as setting safe condition standards; particularly in the areas of ergonomics and machine guarding.

Planner is responsible for facilitating, auditing, and continuously reviewing the Lock-Tag-Test, JSA and SOP programs.

Planner directs hourly team members involved with maintenance, repair, programming and servicing of plant facilities and equipment.

Planner ensures training as required to maintain necessary technical skills.

Planner collects and records data such as requisitions, time spent, tag information, PM, and machine documents as required.

Planner assists facility in driving a culture where preventative and predictive maintenance are a reality, and maintenance due to breakdowns is minimal.

Planner assists Buyer and purchasing department in the maintenance of spare parts inventory for min/max levels, new vendors and re-order evaluation.

Planner ensures that all safety and environmental standards are achieved. Positions oneself as a leader in safety and improving an organization by providing and creating a clean and safe work environment for all team members.

Planner regularly conducts safety meetings and pre-shift maintenance objective meetings, as well as weekly safety audits and inspections to find any unsafe behaviors, and utilizes engineering or administrative controls to eliminate unsafe conditions.

Planner develops and implements training procedures and plans to train employees on new processes and equipment as well as improving skills.

Planner analyzes problems that arise and determines actions that will minimize the problems, decrease costs and/or improve yields, recommend changes, and upon approval implement those changes.

Planner routinely communicates performance to team members and coaches team members on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records.

Planner performs other duties as required.

College or Technical degree in Engineering, Electronics or related field highly preferred. High school diploma and five plus years of maintenance experience may substitute for a degree. Three or more years of technical supervisor experience preferred, but progressive leadership roles will be evaluated as well. Knowledge of electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electronic equipment and systems required.

Three plus (3+) years industrial maintenance experience in Quartz manufacturing required and prior supervisory experience preferred.
