The Role at a Glance
As a Financial Analyst, Sales Incentive Compensation you will assist with data preparation for the monthly compensation cycle, and perform complex calculations, analysis, and audits for sales incentive compensation payments. You will be responsible for partnering with Distribution, Finance, Revenue Reporting, IT, and other internal teams to process and resolve sales incentive compensation questions, recalculations, modeling, or reporting requests. This role is entrusted to maintain confidentiality and sensitive employee data and information relating to sales incentive compensation plans.
What you'll be doing
Business Consulting and Delivery
Partners with the team in the preparation and monthly delivery of sales incentive compensation payments for internal customers based on incentive plan provisions.
Analyzes compensation reporting from various sources, validates data and conducts necessary research for exceptions or error handling.
Follows established checks, internal controls, and reviews or reconciliations to ensure accuracy of incentive compensation payments.
Communicates to leadership on recognized trends or issues/concerns.
Identifies and leads process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for the sales incentive compensation team.
Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within the organization.
Provide sales incentive compensation subject matter expertise for strategic or baseline level projects and can serve in this capacity with little management involvement necessary.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepares, analyzes, and reports on sales incentive compensation payments on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.
Collects, compiles, and evaluates financial information from various systems to develop and deliver standard and ad-hoc financial analysis.
Performs and delivers on complex assignments/projects while leveraging and applying knowledge of sales incentive compensation.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Provides and creates reporting enhancements for the Sales Incentive Compensation team through advanced Microsoft Excel or compensation system reporting.
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
4 Year/Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting or compensation that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
Demonstrated adherence to strict confidentiality that can be proven in prior role history (via notable references).
Ability to perform under pressure, balance competing demands, and work overtime (as needed) to meet aggressive timelines.
Strong analytical skills and advanced user in Excel highly preferred.
Previous experience working on baseline or strategic projects as a subject matter expert.
Strong communication skills, and ability to interact with individuals in a professional and courteous manner regarding their compensation.
Can effectively and confidently communicate with other leaders across the organization.
A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations as a high performing employee.
Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions.
Drives performance targets to completion.
Must show desire to learn and grow in this position to continue to meet the expectations set forth.

The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
