Our location in Highlands Ranch, CO has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical System Integration Engineer to join our mission supporting GeoXO (Geostationary Extended Observations) within in our Commercial Civil Space (CCS) line of business. The GeoXO satellite system is the ground-breaking mission that will advance Earth observations from geostationary orbit. It will supply vital information to address major future environmental efforts in support of weather, ocean, and climate operations.

The GeoXO Electrical System Integration Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) will:

- Provide electrical system design and integration for the GeoXO series of satellites

- Lead system electrical architecture definition and design trades

- Oversee all satellite electrical performance, power subsystem modeling, channelization/electrical interconnect and interface control, compatibility analysis and electrical subsystem designs to ensure compliance with the satellite level technical baseline maintaining end-to-end compatibility, functional allocations and margins

- Lead comprehensive electrical requirements development including system to subsystem to component allocation, verification planning and implementation, and validation

- Foster communication across program technical teams, program management, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) instrument teams and the NASA/NOAA customer, and support an extensive program change management processes

- Support identification and adjudication of electrical system program risks and opportunities through the Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB)

- Prepare for and participate in program design reviews as required including but not limited to SRR, PDR, CDR, PER, and PSR

- Lead electrical system integration and test through satellite I&T and launch operations, supporting test planning, integration and test readiness review, on-console test implementation, anomaly review and resolution (including through formal program anomaly review boards), and post-test performance verification

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior systems integration & design engineers

Basic Qualifications:

- Demonstrated system design and test experience

- Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple engineering functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)

- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong teaming skills, and ability to build consensus among both internal and external partners

Desired Skills:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering

- Demonstrated experience leading space system electrical design or development, especially for qualified or flying space flight hardware

- Demonstrated experience with system requirements development, derivation, allocation, budget development, verification planning and verification execution, and utilization of a relational requirements management database

- Demonstrated experience in conducting electrical compatibility or circuit design analysis, electrical system modeling, performance and margin evaluation, especially with respect to space system command and data handling or power subsystems

- Demonstrated experience reviewing and approving released engineering documentation/drawings, test plans, test reports/data, component End-item Data Packages (EIDPs)

- Demonstrated leadership of component, subsystem or system (spacecraft) level electrical test, including test architecture, test procedure development, script generation, on-console test execution, ground test system utilization, telemetry monitoring, performance trending and anomaly identification and resolution

- Demonstrated experience working with integrated hardware/software simulators including test infrastructure and test product development, partnership with flight and simulator software developers, and review of simulated test data

- Demonstrated experience presenting in high-level program and customer-facing discussions and program reviews

- Demonstrated experience partnering with external technical partners like subcontract/vendors, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) vendors, launch vehicle providers, etc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
