Role Summary :

The Strategic International Tax Lead will support Global Mobility's agenda by focusing on strategic cross-customer priorities, including projects and initiatives. This role ensures alignment with customers on international tax strategies and operations, providing global tax advice to operational teams while considering worldwide legal developments. The position drives strategic concepts and actions within Siemens, standardizing global processes and procedures for value and co-creation service delivery.

As a trusted partner for internal and global stakeholders, the role builds and maintains external relationships to identify new opportunities and strengthen growth in the Americas. Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders, the role advances transformative initiatives. This role is designed to work a Hybrid work model.

Key Role Responsibilities :

  • Provide project consulting for cross-border business activities abroad (on- and offshore).

  • Drive country responsibilities both in the bidding phase and the execution phase, ensuring that project assignment concepts follow immigration, personal income tax, social security, and labor laws.

  • Identify current and potential customers and understanding their needs.

  • Develop country concepts as well as customer-fitted concepts for projects.

  • Provide consultation and support for the involved stakeholders in the process of project consulting, considering company regulations (e.g., Assignment Circulars, HR processes, PM @ Siemens) as well as national and international legal framework conditions (e.g., immigration, social security, and tax law).

  • Conduct standard and modular trainings for different target groups (e.g., sales and project managers, managers, HR organizations) related to various project consulting topics.

  • Identify and understand risks associated with cross-border business activities and finding solutions to avoid risks for the business, as well as finding suitable and cost-efficient solutions.

  • Consult regarding legal and operational requirements through the creation of a project concept (e.g., assignment type, permanent establishment, temporary hiring out of personnel, permanent establishment, and consulting on multi-country sourcing projects).

  • Develop new assignment concepts in collaboration with customers and internal and external partners and experts (e.g., Corporate Tax Teams, Customer's Governance Partners, GMM experts).

  • Implement and review country-specific Corporate Tax Feedback in collaboration with expert teams, if applicable.

  • Bring fresh ideas on project consulting topics by applying your knowledge and sharing these with the customers and the GMM community

  • Drive GMM strategic priorities by elevating International Project Services while collaborating across different stakeholder groups to align and strengthen our value creation as a technology focused provider for all customers.

  • Lead with purpose executing our GMM strategy by adjusting to our customer needs and translate customer centricity into actionable initiatives for our GMM organization supporting the Americas region.

  • Monitor and process (if necessary) compliance-relevant risks from day-to-day operations carefully.

  • Additionally, you ensure that GMM's service delivery is not only aligned to current customer needs but also in line with market innovations and latest trends.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Tax, Accounting, HR

  • 3-5 years of experience of tax, social security and immigration consulting in an international environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of international tax and social security law, corporate tax law and transfer pricing

  • Expert understanding of Global Mobility Services and associated solutions leveraged in different industries.

  • Business fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in process optimization at a global company.

  • Experience leading large-scale consulting and data analytics projects in multicultural environments, including stakeholder management, preferably in Global Mobility.

  • Significant experience in process improvement projects, including implementing new tools or managing ecosystem upgrades.

  • Strong background in change and project management.

The pay range for this position is $59,430 - $101,880. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
