Studio Stylist Content Coordinator - Volcom

Job Description

Volcom is looking to add an experienced creative team member to support studio and lifestyle photo shoots. The responsibilities of this role expand beyond styling to supporting the photo studio's creative needs to ensure work that is created in the studio and beyond is on brand, high quality and done efficiently. The studio is a high paced and high-volume setting, where creative direction and priorities constantly evolve.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work & communicate closely with Global Design, Marketing, eCommerce, and photography counterparts to produce progressive imagery assets as needed for each project

  • Act as stylist during studio and lifestyle photoshoots

  • Oversee, prepare and manage samples for photoshoots

  • Maximize Project Resources - Minimize production labor/workloads (identify ways to streamline and improve process)

  • Aid Global Studio Production Manager in casting and hiring models for shoots as needed

  • Confirm seasonal photoshoot directive with Ecommerce and Creative Director before each project and seasonal shoot

  • Prepare shot lists for photoshoots

  • Style looks for seasonal photoshoots, taking into account the Design team's vision for the product and how it should be worn

  • Maintain studio styling kit, including footwear, eyewear, props, etc.

  • Maintain marketing sample room closet

  • Steaming and product preparation is required as part of this role, including the receiving and organization of samples

  • Work closely with Sample Coordinators and other departments to track and borrow samples for photoshoots

  • Prepare looks and send outfits to ambassadors as needed for content creation and PR opportunities

  • Other duties assigned as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; or minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Management (People & Project) experience required

  • Microsoft Office knowledge required

  • Detail Oriented and Organized

  • Positive Attitude

  • Team Work Ethic

  • Project & People Management required

  • Ability to work within a cross functional environment

  • Creative Problem Solving to equal productive results

  • Task Oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and balance multiple/simultaneous projects

  • Ability & desire to learn new technology/programs

  • Excellent time management & communication skills (written/verbal)

  • This position requires all hours working out of our Costa Mesa office
