Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Freight finance manager to join our TEAM! As the freight finance manager, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of supporting activities to the operations team and create/track against metrics while also leading the monthly financial close, budget, forecast and ad hoc projects..
Primary Objective
Support and drive value within the freight operations
Major Function and Scope
Develops and presents strategic plans including operational efficiencies, capital expenditures, and other financial measures.
Develops and implements annual operating plan and tracks results to plan.
Oversees period close of financial records including preparation and dissemination of financial reports.
Prepares current forecast of annual performance.
Identifies opportunities for reducing cost or improving efficiencies in coordination with operations management.
Analyzes performance of key business areas to ensure optimal performance.
Prepares various ad hoc reports and provides detailed analysis of data as requested by operations management.
Ensures financial integrity that includes compliance with SOX and GAAP.
SAP and BI reporting experience is a plus
Strong data gathering skills and demonstrated analysis experience, comfortable working with large datasets
Coaches and trains staff as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Knowledge Required
5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA and professional certification highly preferred.
Competencies
Strong strategic planning and analytical skills. Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence top management. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley
