Education Qualifications:
Supports the clinician by providing accurate and timely documentation of patient visits at the point of care, including pre-visit planning, facilitation of provider order entry and assisting with patient flow in the clinic setting. Assists with management of provider clinic schedules and patient wait lists to facilitate timely patient care. Performs complex, diverse, and confidential administrative support duties for respective department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordination and scheduling of committees, department and other scheduled activities, preparation of routine and non-routine reports, memos, data collection/graphs and special assignments/projects. Provides other support to staff within the department as required.
Experience:Minimum of 1 year office experience and medical terminology experience required; 1 year of experience as a transcriptionist or medical secretary desirable.
Proficient and comprehensive skills in personal computer software systems and applications, including word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel).
