Job Summary:

Summary: The Payroll Assistant will monitor and organize emails received in our Corporate Payroll Email Inbox, receive/distribute all mail received daily as well as assisting with outgoing mail, processing positive pay on all manual checks written and handles the check distribution process each payroll. This position also helps with the daily administrative needs of the department.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Monitor and organize a high-volume of emails received in our Payroll Email Inbox by placing them in the various sub folders for processing

  • Receives and distributes all mail received.

  • Assists with any outgoing mail including UPS packages that need to be delivered

  • Creates UPS labels and is responsible for the oversight of the check distribution process each payroll

  • Orders office supplies on an as needed basis

  • Answer multiple phone lines via Zoom

  • Assist with payroll questions

  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

The Payroll Assistant should demonstrate the following traits:

  • Strong work ethic and team player

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced time sensitive environment

  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

  • Basic knowledge of payroll best practices is helpful

  • Administrative/office experience is a plus

  • Strong PC Skills

  • Familiarity with ADP and Workday a plus.
