The Business Development Manager must be passionate about providing childcare services to working families. CDS programs provide an array of childcare options to families to support their growing needs. This leadership role creates an opportunity to develop grassroots sales and marketing initiatives that will build and grow our 2023 strategy. The Manager makes strategic decisions and drives corporate growth and team accountability.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Seven (7) years of combined sales or business development experience is preferred; Experience in multi-markets is a plus
Minimum / Preferred Educational Level
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing
Skills
Knowledge of the childcare and/or education market required
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
In-depth understanding of the marketing and sales process
Demonstrated success working both independently and in highly collaborative
environments
Highly developed communication skills with small business owners, essential
Proven ability to quickly identify a large volume of deal targets and to also fill
an effective leads pipeline
Exceptional analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills essential
Adept at using a variety of research database tools as appropriate
Ability to travel regularly
Creates and implements Grassroot Marketing Toolkit and Best Practices Playbook for the field, working closely with District Managers on execution plans.
Executes growth strategy:leads deal sourcing, diligence, negotiations, and closing processes for employer partnerships in all markets.
Conducts and presents research on new growth opportunities and risks to the company.
Works with Finance, Operations Support and Marketing to utilize data analytics in business development decision making
Prepares and maintains daily call and activity tracking systems
Prepares periodic status reports for Marketing VP
Track unique state and region activity, including competitive landscape, policy and funding trends, political climate, etc.
Maintain accurate, daily data management within the company's Customer Relations Management (CRM) system/s
