Description
SAIC is currently hiring for a Linux Systems Engineer to help support the Army's Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) program at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Job Duties:
Design and architect Linux-based solutions to meet organizational requirements.
Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems, including Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Linux solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
Implement and manage containerization technologies, including Docker.
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
Develop and maintain container images and manage container lifecycle.
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of Linux systems.
Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to Linux environments.
Optimize Linux system performance through effective resource allocation, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Required Security Clearance and Certifications:
Must have relevant certification such as CompTIA Linux+ and/or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) are required.
Must have a top secret clearance on first day of employment with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Required Skills:
Extensive experience with Linux systems administration, including Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions.
Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker.
Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Proficiency in enterprise-level Linux management and optimization.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
