Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts, determining the primary systems/sub-systems and their interfaces, and assisting with end-to-end solution design. Job expectations include defining non-functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers.
Position Summary
Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints. May be responsible for coordinating teams to accomplish development in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities:
Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology, find creative solutions through knowledge of the domain, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts, and aligns the solution intent and architectural vision to an evolving backlog of technology change
Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features
Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easily
Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions
Clarifies the architecture and assists with system design for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs and suggests improvements to best practices and templates
Required Qualifications
The Mobile Architect is responsible for driving Architecture of Mobile products and features within Mobile Application development space supporting various business lines across the Bank of America.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ,Computer Science ,computer Application ,IT or job related filed required
Minimum of 7+ years' experience in Architecture role required .
Participates in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements.
Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions.
Develops prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes.
May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
Strong understanding of iOS and Android ecosystem along with payments
Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of the Mobile Applications space and the role it serves for Internal business units and external bank customers.
Experience with UI/UX design & Fintech experience
Experience working with tech teams
Experience with Agile software development
Strong business-centric mindset with the ability to utilize sound business judgement and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcome
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and cross-functional areas.
Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$61.07 - $93.25 hourly pay, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
