About this job

The Analyst will perform business analysis/research, drive improvement in business processes, support decisions that contribute to the growth of the company. The Analyst collaborates with various cross functional teams to develop solutions utilizing technology and other efficiency gaining tools.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in cross functional business initiatives as the Accounting Operations subject matter expert & provide analytical support on strategic, tactical &/or technically challenging projects.

  • Develop and execute project analytics or initiatives (including SQL query writing, RPA, I3, Coupa, ERP), propose recommendations (incl. Senior Management), success measures & sustainment plans.

  • Plan, direct & participate in gathering requirements, system or process testing & coordination of assigned resources to ensure goals and objectives are met.

  • Based on business reviews/requests, conduct analysis and research/identify trends; develop reports, proposals for action or implementation plans as necessary and present to management. Determine opportunities to automate business processes and functions.

  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data models, data relationships and data utilization and consumption.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including mapping of process flows, standardized processes and procedure guides.

Purpose of the role

The Analyst role in Accounting Operations Business Support is instrumental in supporting strategic and tactical business initiatives & continuous improvement goals of the company. The Analyst will collaborate with various cross functional teams to develop solution strategies and assure technology or new processes are in alignment with those strategies, while continuously serving as a subject matter expert.

  • Minimal travel required

  • Preferred Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Data Analytics or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of related accounting experience required, experience in any analytical role strongly preferred

  • 1-3 years project management experience required

  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required

  • Experience with database creation in Microsoft Access preferred

  • Experience creating queries & compiling data from SQL

  • Tableau experience preferred
